Bus pass FAQs

Withe the introduction of our new bus pass system from 2022, there will be many questions that arise as the system rolls out. If your question does not appear in the list below, please make contact with EasyBus.

Many students catch one bus from home and then switch to a different bus at the Bethlehem or Tauranga Crossing transfer points. If your student is one of these, please select the route that picks them up and drops them off at home.

Most urban students can access a bus ride through the Council’s Bayhopper service. Please click here for more information.

No, your child can catch the bus immediately. Please check the route map to ensure that your stop is listed and active.

No, casual passes are not available at this point in time. This is a service that we may be able to offer in the near future.

The price of $75 per term is set to generate enough revenue to operate the school bus network. We believe that the current price represents very good value for parents. Therefore, no reduction is possible if your child is not an every-day user of the bus.
