This emergency route design travels along Kaitemako Road and then to Tauranga, via Maungatapu School.
Morning service
The route first follows the R3 route plan, starting 10mins earlier at 7.20am. It follows the usual path and then heads to Maungatapu School, dropping off there at 7.55am. The bus then travels to Tauranga, dropping off at the usual time.
afternoon service
This bus collects students from Tauranga Intermediate, Tauranga Boys’ and then Tauranga Girls and then travels to Maungatapu School, arriving at 3.50pm. The bus then completes the remainder of the R3 service, dropping off tens minutes later than normal.
Please note: you may not have your usual driver delivering this service. Please ensure that you are waiting at the bus stop in good time and be prepared to wave down the driver. On afternoon services, students should be ready to let the driver know when their stop is coming up – older students can assist younger students with this. Parents can help by waiting at the stop and flagging down the bus as it approaches.
